Our half day Intro to MTB course is designed for women riders new to mountain biking and those returning to biking after a break.The coaching sessions are appropriate for riders at a beginner to intermediate level and are designed to build confidence in a social and relaxed setting.
The 4 hour course includes 2.5 hours of tuition followed by a 20 minute lunchbreak and finishes with a 1 hour ride on the trails to practice what we have learned in the morning session. We use the skills area and the Green & Bue trails.
The coaching sessions focus on generic bike handling and core cycling techniques that are all relevant to mountain biking. The sessions include coaching on:
In addition, we will learn how to carry out a safe cycle check, also known as the M-check, how to correctly fit their helmet and how to set up their bike to ride.
