Our half-day Intermediate coaching classes are designed for women riders who are feeling confident riding the blue trails and who are now wanting to ride more challenging trails with technical features. We will guide you through a range of MTB techniques from cornering and pumping to manual and power-assisted front wheel lifts.
The coaching sessions take place at Glentress Forest in small groups with a maximum number of 6 riders in each class. The emphasis is on learning in a fun and relaxed environment with lots of whooping and back-slapping on hand if needed!
Classes can include coaching on:
- Weight shifting
- Track stand
- Manual front-wheel lift
- Power-assisted front wheel lift
- Rear wheel lift
- Rolling drop-offs
- Pumping and absorbing
- Negotiating rocky sections
- Riding in mud and over roots
- Technical climbing and descending
Every time you book a course or activity with Swift Trails we will donate £1 to either the Tweed Valley Trail Association or the Tweed Valley Bike Patrol.
We enjoy and benefit from a wonderful community of bikers here in the Tweed Valley who volunteer their free time to make sure the trails are maintained and safe to ride. They depend on voluntary contributions to continue their valuable work.
