Swift Trails was set up by Lucy Husband to meet the needs of the growing number of women enthusiastic about mountain biking and was the first women specific MTB guiding and tuition company in the Tweed Valley.

Aware that some women can feel intimidated by the stereotypical picture of mountain biking – which tends to be characterised by a culture where speed and technical challenge is everything- Lucy wanted to dispel this myth and get women out into the countryside to enjoy the “simple pleasures” of being outside in nature, with friends and family, keeping fit and mentally healthy.

To support women feel more confident on their bikes, Swift Trails run monthly guided ride-outs, a womens MTB group, MTB skills courses specifically for women, family fun days and bike maintenance workshops. Join our Facebook group and keep up to date with what we’re up to!

Introducing Jessie-May Morgan: MTB Leader and trainee coach

Jessie is a familiar face here in the Tweed Valley – she recently moved here so she can indulge her passion for Enduro racing!

The steeper and gnarlier the trails, the happier Jessie is but she is equally at home on cross country trails and always super-enthusiastic about sharing top tips for getting more out of your biking.

Jessie is an awesome rider – makes everything look effortlessly easy but also extremely modest about her achievements and a natural coach with bucket-loads of empathy.
